Spikey the Echidna

Synopsis:
Briano and James head out to rescue an Echidna that has been attacked by dogs. Trying to rescue Spikey after he buried himself in someones back yard proves to be quite the task, but both James and Briano are up for the challenge.

The Echidna has a slender snout and long, flicking tongue. The Echidna also has distinctive sharp spines (quills) along its back and sides for protection against predators. The Australian wildlife never ceases to amaze me. This is one lovely animal that I hadn't heard of before watching Steve's programmes. A darling little animal; shame it didn't understand that it was in some of the safest hands in Australia. Lovely that these people cared enough to contact Australia Zoo. Hope it did okay.
