For many years i've had the feeling that Tigers are the real "king of the jungle". Sadly we may lose these majestic animals in my lifetime; 5 years ago i had the fortune to meet Juma an 18mth old male Tiger. We had a walk with the Tiger prior to the opening of Australia zoo, he was amazing so much like velvet to touch, a strong character and one who wanted my water bottle as he thought it was his milk bottle. He soon showed us what power he had and it gave myself a unique souvenir, one i have enclosed in a special wooden box made for me. Juma has a special place in my heart and he always will.

I think the tigers are so wonderful. There enclosure is beautiful. I wish I could live there in an enclosure like that and be loved like that.

How gorgeous are the tigers, such amazing creatures. I dont understand how anyone could prefer their pelts then the actual living, breathing, amazing animal. My favorite at Australia Zoo would have to be Maneki-Neko. She is so cheeky and such a cutie. As is her sister Katie :)

They really are too beautiful for words. A very interesting fact about those defensive markings; I had never heard of that before. Doesn't really help them much though when coming into contact with hunters/poachers etc. Such a shame that these beautiful, absolutely majestic animals can't roam free on the planet without some form of protection. An absolute tragedy.
